Chelsea works to establish a sense of safety and security in the therapeutic relationship. This is a unique space in which she welcomes you to say exactly what is on your mind, without filter. Chelsea works with her clients in a compassionate and very “human” way – and is above all interested in fully understanding her clients and their story. This means that when you talk, she will listen. Chelsea is skilled in working with brief short-term issues as well as providing longer-term therapy. She will work collaboratively with you to develop an approach that best suits your needs, guided by your personal preferences.

Please take the time to read through the service agreement and practice policies. These describe the boundaries maintained within the client-therapist relationship to ensure that it is a safe, respectful and mutually beneficial exchange for both parties. The Policy addresses issues around privacy and confidentiality; late or frequent cancellations; unpaid sessions; and additional fees.

Therapy Sessions

Please note that the recommended sessional fee by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) is $340.

This practice does not offer bulk-billing.

50-minute session --------------------------------- $265 ($115.95 out-of-pocket*)

90-minute session --------------------------------- $397.5 ($248.45 out-of-pocket*)

* You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $149.05 per session.​​

Reports and Other Written Work

​​Reports, lengthy emails, and the completion of forms requiring substantial time and expertise to complete will be charged at $265 per hour.

 

Please note that you will be given a quote of the fee related to your particular request. Your decision whether to proceed or not will be sought prior to work on the request being commenced.

Medicare Rebates

There are three Medicare initiatives under which Psychology services can be provided:

  1. Mental Health Care Plan: Between 6 and 10 rebatable sessions per calendar year. Regular GP reviews are required.

  2. Eating Disorder Treatment Plan: Between 10 and 40 rebatable sessions per calendar year. Regular GP reviews and at least one Psychiatry review is required at the midway point. For further information, please click here.

  3. Chronic Condition Management Plan: Up to 5 rebatable sessions per calendar year. Please note that the amount rebated is $63.40 (and not $149.05). 

 

Please speak with your GP to check whether or not you are eligible. If you wish to claim a Medicare rebate for your initial session, please ensure that you have obtained a care plan and referral from your GP before your first appointment. Please either bring your referral to your session or email it through beforehand.

Private Health Rebates

Depending on your private health fund, you may be eligible for a rebate. Please note that you cannot claim a private health fund rebate and a Medicare rebate for a single session.

Please contact your private health fund to check your eligibility and the amount rebated, as this differs depending on your level of cover.​
